These 48 photos were removed from an acidic album, to help preserve them. Emil Johnson collected these photos; he appears in most of them. Envelope #1 has 5 photos just after the collision of a fire truck and a car. Envelope #2 contains 9 views of new fire trucks and other Boulder Fire Dept. vehicles and personnel. Envelope #3 holds 4 night Christmas views of the Boulder County Courthouse and the star on Flagstaff Mountain. Envelope #4 contains 7 informal group portraits, including several at a dinner in about 1952. Envelope #5 has 12 group portraits of Boulder personalities and children with Santa Claus, ca. 1946-1956. Envelope #6 has 7 group portraits of Boulder Fire Dept. personnel ca. 1950s. Envelope #7 holds 4 photos of men around the Masons' safe in the basement of the Masonic Building in Boulder after a fire in April of 1945.
